Meet Dr.Johnson
David W. Johnson, D.D.S.
Orthodontist
Dr. Johnson is a Bay Area native who attended high school on the Peninsula, and then headed to U.C. Davis for his undergraduate studies. After completing his degree in Biochemistry, he went on to attend dental school, graduate school and his post-graduate residency in orthodontics at U.C. San Francisco. Dr. Johnson has a passion for practicing orthodontics and now splits his professional time between seeing patients in the Alameda office and teaching part time at UCSF Orthodontics.
Dr. Johnson has lived in Alameda for many years and raised his family here. During his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his three adult children and activities with his friends, including movies and great food. Each fall, he and several friends make what he calls "garage wine", some of which has won awards at the California State Fair. When he can, he takes long bicycle rides with his cycling buddies, having completed many 100- & 200-mile journeys. Over the last several summers, he has managed to sneak away to Europe and ride many of the famous passes used in both the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia.
